11:00 AM - 2:30 PM EDT
An afternoon of live virtual presentations all focused on transitioning to and understanding Cloud for Citrix environments. We covered the key points to consider before moving from an on-prem environment, understanding Azure from a Citrix administrator perspective, and finally, a comparison of cloud deployment options for running Citrix. See links below for the session recordings.
Director–Advanced Technology, Citrix Systems, Inc.
Ron looked at Citrix Cloud from the perspective of an admin managing an existing on-Prem XenApp or XenDesktop environment. He covered what changes when using Citrix Cloud, and the key items industry experts think that you need to know when moving to a Citrix Cloud-managed environment.
Cloud Architect, Zerto
CUGC Content Working Group, Citrix CTP
After recapping the main points from "Managing Azure for Citrix Admins – Part 1" (watch the recording here), Mike dug deeper into managing the environment, including covering Azure monitoring and analytics, management and configuration options, and troubleshooting. Everyone knows that the administrator’s job isn’t done once the solution is deployed, but rather, it is just the beginning. This session will hopefully help ease some of the pain and confusion for those who want to dig into Azure a bit more.
Nashville CUGC Leader
Technical Lead for Cloud Architecture, EVRY
CUGC Networking SIG Leader, Citrix CTP
In this session, Marius walked through the different options out there for deploying Citrix across multiple cloud providers such as Amazon, Azure and Google Cloud. He talked in detail about the pros and cons for each platform, and, when it comes to availability and performance, the options for deployment.
