Building windows 10 / server 201x images for cloning has the following challenges:

• Human-error by hand cranking settings at the virtual shell level

• The amount of time it takes to apply Windows updates once the base build is done

Owen has been in the IT field since 2000, starting in a desktop support position for Dublin City University in Ireland. Following my return to Canada in 2002, he worked for Royal Bank of Canada for 12 years, starting in a jack-of-all-trades desktop/server/mobile support role for 8 years, then finishing in up in an engineering role within the RBC Workspace virtualization / Citrix team for 4 years (2013 to 2017). Since August 2017, he has worked as a senior Citrix consultant for Morgan Stanley in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Owen is well-versed in in all things Citrix: Deployment, StoreFront, Provisioning, Networking, and Licensing across XenApp/XenDesktop 4/5/6/7.x. He also keeps up to date to client/server technologies via a hybrid mix of real-hardware and virtual servers provisioned by Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare ESXi HP/whitebox equipment.
