Greetings, I hope everyone is enjoying a good start to the New Year 2019! Now that the holiday dust has settled, I’d like to welcome the newest addition to our Steering Committee, Jon Bucud.  Jon is a Citrix Technology Advocate (CTA) and is one of our San Diego local group leaders. He has been an avid supporter of CUGC at in-person events and online, and is always a vocal champion of CUGC on social media. He is also a home lab fan. Jon Bucud Jon takes over the spot recently vacated by our former president, Lee Winbush. Lee Winbush We can’t thank Lee enough for his thoughtful leadership and genuine enthusiasm, both of which helped shape ...

We are deeply saddened to announce the unexpected loss of one of our own, Citrix and CUGC Community Manager Stephanie Roper. Before her leadership with CUGC, Stephanie was already well-known and loved among the CTP community as a long-time Citrite. When she joined the CUGC HQ team in 2016, she brought her fun, vivacious spirit and generous nature to our community.  She tirelessly supported CUGC’s local events near and far and our online work. She was instrumental in the development of the CTA program, which has brought so much outstanding technical content to our local meetings, webinars and blogs. One of CUGC’s most vocal cheerleaders, Stephanie’s ...

As we near the final transition, here are a few details on what to expect: Migration: Access to the current myCUGC.org will be limited from December 7 - December 9 . This is when we’ll be doing the final migration of data from the old platform to the new platform. The majority of the site will operate in a “read only” mode during this time. All ...
On December 6, 2018, Citrix will host their first-ever Virtual Tech Summit, in partnership with Microsoft. Since our launch in May 2015, myCUGC.org has been an integral part of CUGC. From local meetings to expert blogs, it’s a one-stop-shop for Citrix professionals and home to outstanding technical and community conversation. The current site is a great platform that helped us grow to over 21,000 members, but with increased membership and maturity come different needs. We want myCUGC.org to grow with us. That’s why the Steering Committee is thrilled to announce that an all-new myCUGC.org is coming in December 2018. All of the content you’ve come to expect will be there – local groups, events, webinars, blogs, forums – plus new features designed to enhance your ...

Our annual report is hot off the presses. You can find a copy here. When I read it, two words come to mind: growth and leadership.  I say growth because we have more members, local groups, meetings, webinars and online engagement. Everything is trending up. This is the grassroots growth we all want because it creates more opportunity to learn and connect. And why leadership?  Because CUGC depends on individuals who volunteer their time and knowledge. They are the energy behind our local meetings, blogs, forums and our presence at Synergy.  I congratulate and thank our members, especially our local, SIG and content leaders. Whether you help to lead a ...

More community leaders from the CTP and CTA programs, our local leadership and our rank-and-file presented and hosted discussions. More people attended the Pregame reception and visited the ...

As 2016 draws to a close, the Steering Committee is excited to announce our first annual member appreciation honors: The CUGCY Awards!   We couldn't let 2016 go by without giving a shout out to those local leaders, bloggers, forum contributors, and others who make CUGC such a wonderful place! "Wait, what? How do you pronounce that? Where did that name come from?" CUGCY is pronounced "cug-see." Catchy, right? Rather than go with something generic like Community Awards or Member Awards, some of our sports-loving folks were inspired by ESPN's ESPY Awards. Hence the birth of The CUGCY Awards. It's unique and 100% CUGC.  We'll announce ...
