What Citrix technologies are most important to your work?
Xenapp, Xendesktop, StoreFront Servers and Netscalers are most important Citrix technologies at my work currently.
What are the biggest tech challenges in your work environment, and what Citrix-related solutions have you implemented or hope to implement?
The biggest challenge is image management for VDI infrastructure on XenDesktop. We are in process of evaluating application layering and would be implementing application layering technologies which can greatly help to streamline VDI images.
I have been enjoying Southern California weather as much as possible, though I am missing Seattle for many other things. One of the first things I did after moving to L.A. was join the LA CUGC. Participating in CUGC events has helped me build and develop my professional network, and also gave the opportunity to learn innovative ideas from other’s experiences, learn about new product offerings and stay current with technology updates.
As of now, I am working with the current LA CUGC leader and offering help towards organizing our next local CUGC meeting, which would be my first CUGC event in L.A.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
"No room for regret, move on to the next thing!" is the best advice I have received. This was tough to put in practice. I'm trying to get better at it.
Finally, tell us about your non-technical life. What do you do for fun?
Most of my time outside of work is spent with family. I try to stay fit as much as possible. Although lately, I’ve not been able to maintain a proper workout schedule. But I'm seriously working on straightening it out.
Apart from that, I like to go on short motorcycle rides. No shortage of scenic coastal rides and canyons here in Los Angeles, and I'm exploring them slowly.
