The forums on myCUGC.org provide a place for discussions with Citrix professionals from around the world on technical topics. The CUGC Content Working Group has developed these guidelines to ensure the best experience possible for all of our members:
- No Advertising, Marketing, Surveying, or Soliciting of Contacts.
CUGC is a marketing-free zone. Lively technical discussions about products and technologies among users are encouraged, but direct sales, marketing discussions and links that ask for contact information will be removed from the forums. This includes, but is not limited to, surveys of the community, requests to sponsor local meetings, and attempts to gather information from members. If you are interested in sponsoring a CUGC local group event or in how to submit requests to the community, please contact CUGC HQ.
- Be Respectful.
No trolling, personal attacks, profanity or obscene content. Disagreements about approaches will undoubtedly arise and are important to problem-solving, but keep criticisms constructive and keep an open mind to other points of view.
- Do not Share Private Information About Other Members.
This includes email addresses, physical addresses and phone numbers, unless that person has authorized you to do so.
- Avoid Discussions of Race, Religion and Politics.
This is a technology forum, pure and simple.
- No Cross Posting.
Do not post the same thread in multiple forums. Find the forum most appropriate for your topic and keep the discussion in one place.
- Credit Your Sources and Other People’s Work.
If you are referencing another person’s work on another website or publication, provide a link to the original post and make sure you credit that person. Always give credit to another member if you are developing a project based on their work, and clear it with that person beforehand.
- No Duplicate Accounts.
Do not post under multiple accounts. This includes sponsors impersonating an end user, or having personal and business accounts.
- No Self-Promotion.
You may include your website, blog, etc. in your signature, but do not post solely to promote your own business, blog, product, etc.
- Be Helpful.
If you have a possible solution, advice or any constructive information in response to another member’s post, please share and keep CUGC a vibrant community of knowledge sharing.
- Utilizing myCUCG.org
Do not use the myCUGC.org to recruit members into other forums, platforms, apps, webinars or meetings without review from CUGC leadership. We want all of our members to be able to join in discussions and activities at myCUGC.org, and we want to protect our members’ privacy.
- Moderators and Site Administrators have the Final Say.
It is up to the discretion of the forum moderators and site administrators on whether a post is appropriate or not, and they have the ability to lock or delete a thread. If you disagree with a moderator’s decision, please contact CUGC HQ. Please note that we will make every attempt to contact you if something questionable should arise.
- Not Sure if Something is Appropriate? Please Ask!
Contact CUGC HQ if you have any questions about a post you’d like to make, or if you see something questionable from another member.
These guidelines apply to all members of CUGC, including end users, sponsors, partners and Citrix employees. Failure to adhere to these guidelines can result in account suspension or deactivation.
